Audrey Morgan v. City of Bridgeport

The Plaintiff, a 67 year old woman, was awarded in excess of $365,000.00 after being struck by a metal gate on Clinton Avenue in Bridgeport. The gate was unsecured and was blown open by heavy winds, striking the Plaintiff and knocking her unconscious. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance where she was treated for serious head and brain injuries. She was permanently disabled by the accident and suffered from serious memory deficiencies and severe anxiety as a result.
